KAPURTHALA, January 30, 2026 — During a high-profile visit to the Kapurthala Military Station, Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Command, conducted a comprehensive review of the brigade’s operational preparedness. A significant highlight of the visit was the inauguration of the Khetarpal Auditorium, a facility dedicated to the memory of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, Param Vir Chakra. By naming the auditorium after the legendary war hero, the Western Command pays tribute to an enduring symbol of valour and supreme sacrifice that continues to define the finest traditions of the Indian Army.
