Lt Gen DS Kushwah Reviews Training Transformation and Inaugurates Veteran Facilities in Nashik and Devlali

NASHIK, Mar 26: Lt Gen DS Kushwah, PVSM, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Goa (MG & G) Area, conducted a comprehensive high-level visit to the Artillery Centre in Nashik and military units in Devlali to oversee critical operational and welfare projects.

During his visit, the General Officer reviewed the progress of ongoing training programs, logistics, and major infrastructure works, emphasizing the urgent need for a “tech-infused” training ecosystem.

He advocated for the integration of data-based monitoring and Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR) tools to optimize learning within increasingly compressed training schedules.

Highlighting the Army’s “Decade of Transformation,” Lt Gen Kushwah called for user-driven, state-of-the-art administrative infrastructure to meet the evolving demands of modern warfare.In a significant move to bolster the welfare of the military community, Lt Gen Kushwah dedicated several new facilities to serving personnel and veterans.

These include a newly established Veterans Sahayata Kendra and a modern pharmacy-cum-waiting lounge for ex-servicemen at the ECHS Polyclinic.

Furthermore, he inaugurated a specialized family ward at the Military Hospital (MH) in Devlali, significantly strengthening healthcare support for soldiers and their families.

This visit reaffirmed the Headquarters MG & G Area’s steadfast commitment to holistic development, ensuring that infrastructure and welfare initiatives remain in step with the enduring excellence and professional ethos of the Indian Army.
