Lt Gen AVS Rathee Reviews Operational Readiness and Drone Innovations at Aundh Military Station

PUNE, March 14, 2026 — Strengthening the nation’s defense posture and fostering international military ties, Lt Gen AVS Rathee, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Konark Corps, conducted a comprehensive review of operational preparedness at the Aundh Military Station.

During the visit, the General assessed the latest training initiatives and strategic projects spearheaded by the Golden Katar Division, placing a significant emphasis on modern warfare requirements.

A key highlight of the visit was the General’s commendation of the ‘Foreign Training & Military Civil Fusion Training Node,’ where he praised the ongoing joint training exercises with friendly foreign nations and the seamless coordination between central and state agencies under the Military-Civil Fusion framework.

Furthermore, Lt Gen Rathee lauded the division’s advancements in Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives, specifically highlighting the rapid capability development in drone technology, enhanced operational mobility, and specialized protocols for handling combat medical emergencies, ensuring the formation remains at the cutting edge of modern combat readiness.
