JAMMU, JANUARY 02, 2026 — Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha officially released the 2026 Panchang Calendar and the annual official diary of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) during a ceremony at Lok Bhavan.
Curated by prominent scholars and priests, the 2026 Panchang is designed as a detailed spiritual guide, offering devotees essential information on auspicious dates, religious festivals, and observances for the upcoming year. The Lieutenant Governor praised the Board’s ability to balance the preservation of ancient spiritual traditions with modern functionality, noting that these initiatives deepen the connection between the Shrine and millions of pilgrims worldwide.
During the event, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, Chief Executive Officer of the SMVDSB, briefed the Lieutenant Governor on several landmark projects highlighted in the new calendar. These include the “Green Trikuta Hills” environmental drive, the continued provision of free Langar Sewa, and the extensive Swachhata Abhiyan cleanliness campaign along the pilgrimage tracks.
Furthermore, the Board highlighted its recent dedication of five temples to the public in the Reasi district, a move aimed at enhancing the region’s spiritual infrastructure.
The unveiling was attended by senior officials, including Mandeep K. Bhandari, Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor, and Ramesh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner Jammu.
