Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Leads Grand 77th Republic Day Parade at MA Stadium in Jammu
JAMMU, January 26, 2026 – Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha unfurled the National Flag today at the union territory-level celebration of the 77th Republic Day, held at the MA Stadium.
Following the flag-hoisting ceremony, the Lieutenant Governor inspected the parade and took the ceremonial salute. The grand march-past featured disciplined contingents from the Army, BSF, CRPF, SSB, J&K Police, and specialized units including the Women’s IRP and the Forest Protection Force.
The event was further enlivened by the participation of NCC cadets, Bharat Scouts and Guides, and various school bands, showcasing the strength and unity of the nation’s security forces and youth.The festivities highlighted the developmental progress and cultural richness of Jammu & Kashmir through a series of vibrant tableaux.
These displays focused on key government initiatives such as Operation Sindoor, Mission Yuva, and the Nasha Mukt J&K campaign, alongside themes like Sashakt Bharat and Food Safety. A major highlight that enthralled the audience was the high-octane motorcycle acrobatic performance by the JKP Dare-Devils, followed by a cultural pageantry that celebrated the diverse heritage of the region.
Prior to the main event, Manoj Sinha visited the Police Martyrs Memorial and the Balidan Stambh to honor the nation’s heroes. He laid wreaths and paid solemn tribute to the bravehearts from the Police, Army, and CAPFs who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. The day’s celebrations concluded as a powerful reaffirmation of the union territory’s commitment to peace, progress, and the constitutional values of the Republic.
