Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Issues Stern Warning to Anti-Peace Elements at J&K Police Passing Out Parade

REASI, March 17, 2026 — Addressing a landmark Passing Out Parade at the Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) Talwara today, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha delivered a powerful mandate to the Jammu & Kashmir Police, asserting that any individual or group attempting to threaten the safety of innocent civilians or disrupt public order will “pay a very heavy price.”

The ceremony marked the formal induction of 430 newly trained constables into the force, a contingent Sinha described as the frontline guardians of a “terror-free and crime-free” Union Territory.

He emphasized that the administration maintains an unequivocal commitment to safeguarding stability, warning that any attempts to undermine commercial activity or incite violence would be met with the full force of the law, without exception.

During his detailed address, Sinha highlighted the pivotal role played by the J&K Police in achieving milestones in good governance, social unity, and innovation over the past six years. He called upon the graduating recruits to prioritize the protection of these developmental gains and to actively uproot separatist elements seeking to divide the populace.

“Let this serve as their stern warning,” the Lieutenant Governor stated, reiterating a policy of zero tolerance toward terrorism. He further revealed that a multi-pronged strategy involving all stakeholder agencies is currently in motion to ensure that Jammu & Kashmir is soon entirely liberated from the shadow of terror.

Beyond operational directives, Sinha spoke extensively on the ethical responsibilities of the uniform, reminding the new constables that public trust is their greatest asset. He urged the recruits to earn this trust through relentless integrity, impartiality, and empathy, noting that their role transcends mere law enforcement to embody the very spirit and soul of justice.

He observed that every person donning the uniform pledges to exceed public expectations and must uphold the dignity of every citizen they are sworn to protect.

The ceremony concluded with the administration of the oath to the 430 trainees and the distribution of trophies to top performers, including Johnny Victor, who was named ‘All-Round Best,’ in the presence of DGP Nalin Prabhat and other senior officials.
