JAMMU, FEBRUARY 03, 2026 – Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha addressed the “Inspirational Teachers Award” ceremony organized by the Amar Ujala Group at Padma Sachdev Government College for Women, where he honored 101 exceptional educators from various schools across Jammu.
During his keynote speech, the Lieutenant Governor emphasized that teachers serve as the backbone of society and the soul of the nation, acting as master artisans who forge the character and talents of the next generation.
He called for a shift away from traditional rote learning, urging teachers to transform classrooms into dynamic collaboration hubs where science and history are taught as captivating sagas rather than mere facts. Highlighting the challenges of the modern era—including Artificial Intelligence disruptions and climate shifts—Manoj Sinha stressed that humanity’s greatest future assets will be innovative and creative thinking rather than bookish knowledge.
He encouraged educators to move beyond the rigid boundaries of the curriculum to ignite curiosity and inquiry, ensuring students evolve from passive listeners into analytical explorers ready to lead a knowledge-driven economy.
The event was attended by prominent academic and administrative figures, including University of Jammu Vice Chancellor Umesh Rai and School Education Commissioner Secretary Ram Niwas Sharma, all of whom joined in celebrating the teachers’ roles in shaping a resilient and innovative future for Jammu and Kashmir.
