Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Commemorates Sant Kabir Nirvan Diwas in Bishnah
JAMMU, Feb 15, 2026 — Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha attended a grand commemorative event marking the 508th Nirvan Diwas of Sant Kabir at Chak Avtara Bishnah, where he called upon citizens to harness the saint’s eternal wisdom for profound societal transformation.
Addressing a diverse gathering organized by the Shiromani Sant Kabir Bhavan, the Lieutenant Governor emphasized that India’s greatest strength in the 21st century lies in its unique ability to master both “Tech and Tradition,” balancing the digital branches of the microchip with the ancient roots of the mantra.
He highlighted that Sant Kabir’s philosophy remains a guiding light for unity and national triumph, offering a vital blueprint for prosperity that bridges economic and social divides. Underscoring India’s growing global influence, he stated that as strategic and economic divisions deepen worldwide, the timeless principle of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” positions India as a beacon of peace and grounding for the international community.
During the event, which was attended by MLA Dr. Rajeev Bhagat and other prominent officials, Manoj Sinha reiterated the government’s commitment to addressing local administrative demands, including issues related to reservation in promotion and the declaration of a gazetted holiday for Sant Kabir Jayanti in the Union Territory.
