LG Manoj Sinha Expresses Grief Over Doda Road Accident; 10 Army Jawans Martyred
SRINAGAR, January 22, 2026 — Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, expressed his profound grief today following the tragic road accident in Doda district that claimed the lives of 10 Indian Army soldiers.
In a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), the LG honored the “outstanding service and supreme sacrifice” of the fallen personnel, noting that the entire nation stands in solidarity with the bereaved families during this period of immense sorrow.
In addition to offering his condolences, LG Sinha confirmed that 10 injured soldiers have been successfully airlifted to a medical facility for specialized care. He has directed senior officials to ensure that the survivors receive the best possible treatment and stated that he is praying for their speedy recovery.
The accident occurred earlier today when an Army vehicle skidded into a deep gorge on the Bhaderwah-Chamba road, prompting an immediate large-scale rescue and medical response.
