JAMMU, JANUARY 13, 2026 — Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha officially launched the special edition of Sangarmal, a magazine published by the Hindu Education Society Kashmir, during a ceremony held at Gandhi Memorial Camp College, Raipur Jammu.
Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor underscored that in an age defined by rapid globalization and technological advancement, Jammu and Kashmir’s ancient spiritual wisdom and cultural traditions remain the essential forces shaping society.
He described the region’s heritage as a “dynamic asset” that has provided an ethical foundation for growth since the Vedic era, urging the integration of these timeless values into the modern educational framework.
During his keynote address, Manoj Sinha emphasized that for Jammu and Kashmir to achieve its full potential, citizens must embrace innovation and intellectual growth. He called for a renewed focus on research and development, the promotion of creative industries, and sustained investment in heritage.
By instilling core values such as compassion, humility, and resilience, the Lieutenant Governor noted that the community could build stronger social bonds and a more cohesive future. He lauded the Hindu Education Society Kashmir for its commitment to raising public awareness and utilizing the transformative power of education to address social responsibilities.
The event was attended by a distinguished assembly of officials and scholars, including Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, President of the Hindu Education Society Kashmir B.L. Zutshi, and Commissioner Secretary of School Education Ram Niwas Sharma. Other notable attendees included Dr. K.N. Pandita, Dr. Ashok Bhan, and Vice Chancellor of SMVDU Dr. Pragati Kumar.
