Ladakh 16th August :- Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta felt profound regret over the unfortunate loss of lives due to a destructive cloudburst followed by landslides in the Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Posted on social media platform X (which was earlier known as Twitter), Gupta sent his sympathies to the bereaved families of the victims and wished prayers for the early recovery of those injured in the tragedy.
In his tweet, the LG said, “Deeply saddened by loss of lives caused by cloudburst & landslide in Kathua district. My deepest condolences to the affected families. Prayers for the injured & safety of all. May the soul of the deceased rest in peace.”
The natural calamity has rendered heavy damage in the area, with rescue efforts in progress to provide relief to afflicted locals.Authorities are leaving no stone unturned to offer relief to the victims, and meteorological departments have already raised alarms for more adverse weather.
