LG hails PM Modi and Union Minister for Sanctioning 5,061 New Residences for J&K Victims of Natural Disaster
Srinagar 27 September : As part of an important decision to give relief and rehabilitation to families hit by recent natural calamities, the Union Government has approved construction of 5,061 new residences for families whose houses were destroyed in the rural belts of Jammu & Kashmir.
The decision came as a welcome step by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha who was filled with deep gratitude towards the central leadership for taking prompt action.The announcement was made officially through an official Post shared on the social media platform ‘X’ (previously Twitter) from the LG Office handle.
The post elaborated that the sanction was made under a special project of Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G), a flagship program of the Government of India to give “Housing for All.” LG Manoj Sinha expressly appreciated the thanks of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister of Rural Development, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, for their personal concern towards the distress of the displaced families in the Union Territory.
This grant is anticipated to have a life-changing effect on thousands of families, restoring a feeling of security, stability, and safety to their lives. Building these new homes is not just a matter of giving them shelter but is a step in the right direction towards helping these families regain their economic stability.
