KUPWARA | February 9, 2026:- In a major push toward holistic regional growth, the Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 was officially launched today in Aspirational District Kupwara and the Aspirational Block of Keran. The launch event saw spirited participation from officers across all line departments, who gathered to reaffirm the district administration’s collective resolve to achieve 100% saturation of key development indicators.
Building on the success of the initiative’s first phase, this second iteration aims to accelerate inclusive development and ensure that essential services reach the farthest corners of the district.During the program, various departments outlined ambitious roadmaps to meet their respective targets.
The Health Department pledged to intensify preventive healthcare and tuberculosis (TB) control measures, specifically aiming to saturate all health indicators before April 14, 2026. Similarly, the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) committed to full coverage of nutrition, maternal, and child welfare programs, while the Education Department announced enhanced monitoring and timely interventions to bridge learning gaps.
The Animal Husbandry Department also detailed a specialized strategy to achieve complete saturation in livestock vaccination, with a particular emphasis on remote and border regions like Keran.
The launch concluded with a unified pledge from all stakeholders to uphold the high standards set during Sampoornata Abhiyan 1.0. By focusing on last-mile service delivery, the district administration aims to transform Kupwara into a model of sustained progress and socio-economic excellence under the Aspirational Districts Programme.
