KPDCL Schedules Power Shutdowns Across Srinagar and Rangreth for Maintenance
SRINAGAR, APRIL 11, 2026 — The Chief Engineer of Distribution at the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has notified the public regarding upcoming power shutdowns necessary for technical maintenance.
On April 12, 2026, a shutdown of the 33 KV Burzhama Tapline will be observed, leading to an interruption of the electricity supply from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM.
The areas affected by this maintenance include Danihama, Khimber, Chaterhama, Telbal, Burzhama, Gassu, Shoperbagh, Rahbagh, Batpora, and surrounding localities.In a separate maintenance schedule, the 33 KV Rangreth JAKLI Tapline will also undergo a shutdown on April 15, 2026.
This will result in a power outage for the JAKLI and Beacon areas between 10:00 AM and 02:00 PM.
The KPDCL has expressed that these temporary interruptions are essential for the upkeep of the power infrastructure and has advised consumers in the affected sectors to make necessary arrangements during the specified timeframes.
