SRINAGAR, Feb 05, 2026 – The Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across several districts to facilitate essential maintenance and technical upgrades.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to plan their activities accordingly as electricity supply will be suspended on specific dates through the second week of February.
According to the official notification, the 33 kV Nowbugh-Chadoora line will undergo a shutdown on February 07 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, impacting Sogam, Repora, Chadoora, and adjoining areas. In the Anantnag region, the 33 kV Achabal Cherpora Tapline will be disconnected on February 07 and 09 during the same hours, affecting Achabal, Shangus, and Nowgam.
Additionally, the 33 kV Pampore-Lethpora line in Pulwama will see outages on February 08 and 11 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, while the Pampore-Khrew line will be shut on February 09 for maintenance in Khrew and nearby industrial zones.In North Kashmir’s Bandipora district, the 33 KV Potushai Ajas Tapline is scheduled for a shutdown on February 07 and 09 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, affecting Ajas, SK Bala, and neighboring localities.
KPDCL has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to the general public and emphasized that these shutdowns are critical for ensuring the long-term stability and reliability of the power distribution infrastructure across the valley.
