KPDCL Announces Scheduled Power Shutdown in Srinagar and Kashmir Districts for Maintenance

SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 14: The Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has notified the public regarding a series of scheduled power shutdowns across various districts to facilitate essential maintenance and repair work.

According to the official communiqué, the 33 KV Pampore-B.K Pora line will undergo a shutdown on February 16, 2026, affecting electricity supply to BK Pora, Khanda, Checkpora, Chatergam, Kenihama, Summerbugh, Wagoora, Aribagh, and surrounding areas from 10 AM to 03 PM.

On the same day, residents in the Dak Banglow, Seepan, and Batapora areas will experience a power outage from 10 AM to 03 PM due to maintenance on the 33 KV Harnag-Khanabal Tapline.Further maintenance activities are scheduled for February 17, 2026, which will impact several high-load sectors.

The 33 KV Arampora-MES line will be shut down from 09 AM to 03 PM, affecting the MES Kupwara region. Additionally, a brief but widespread interruption is expected between 01 PM and 02 PM on the same day due to work at the 220 KV Wagoora-Pampore Circuit I Bay at the Pampore Grid Sub Station.

This will impact a vast list of areas including Rawalpora, Sanat Nagar, Chanapora, Hyderpora, Humhama, Baghat, Barzullah, Natipora, Rangreth, Tral, Pampore, Panthachowk, Sonwar, and various industrial estates and cement plants. KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected zones to plan accordingly and regrets the inconvenience caused by these necessary technical upgrades.
