KISHTWAR , January 28, 2026:-A devastating landslide near the Hasti Pull area of Kishtwar has resulted in the death of at least 50 to 60 sheep and goats, according to local officials. Initial reports indicate that the livestock were trapped and killed instantly when a massive volume of debris slid down the mountain slope, burying the animals underneath.
The incident has caused significant economic loss to the local nomadic or farming families who depend on these animals for their livelihood.In the wake of the disaster, rescue teams and administrative officials have been dispatched to the site to assess the full extent of the damage.
