Kishtwar District Administration Withholds Salaries of Two Officials Over Poor Digitization Performance
KISHTWAR, January 15, 2026 – Taking a strict stance against administrative inefficiency, the Office of the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar has ordered the immediate withholding of salaries for two revenue officials.
The disciplinary action was initiated following the poor performance of the officials in the time-bound digitization of Jamabandies, a critical component of land record management.
According to the official order, the affected personnel are Nisar Ahmad Beigh, the Patwari of Halqa Chenger, and Javeed Iqbal, the Patwari of Halqa Dehrana.
The order emphasizes that this measure has been taken to ensure the maintenance of discipline and the effective utilization of services in the public interest.
The salaries of these officials will remain withheld until further orders are issued by the administration. Copies of the directive have been forwarded to senior administrative and revenue officers, including the Divisional Commissioner of Jammu and the Tehsildar of Marwah, to ensure strict compliance and monitoring of the digitization process moving forward.
