Kiren Rijiju expresses grief over Kishtwar cloudburst tragedy, Prays for bereaved families and swift relief operations
New Delhi, 14th August :- Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of lives in the devastating cloudburst incident in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir. Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Rijiju stated, “The loss of many lives in the Kishtwar, J&K cloudburst is heartbreaking. My deepest condolences to the bereaved families and prayers for strength & successful relief operations.”
The cloudburst, which triggered flash floods and landslides, has caused significant destruction in the region, with several casualties reported and many feared missing. Rescue teams, including the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), SDRF, local authorities, and the Indian Army, have been mobilized to conduct relief and search operations amid challenging weather conditions.
