AMBALA, FEBRUARY 06, 2026 — In a significant move to bolster the Indian Army’s strike capabilities, Lt Gen Rajesh Pushkar, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the elite Kharga Corps, conducted a comprehensive review of the Pine Division’s Operational Logistics Exercise.
The drill centered on the innovative “Forward Logistics Node” model, a strategic framework designed to streamline the supply chain and ensure rapid sustenance for frontline troops during high-intensity conflict. By positioning critical resources closer to the tactical edge, the model aims to eliminate delays in replenishment, ensuring that the momentum of an offensive is never compromised by logistical bottlenecks.
During the review, the GOC highly commended the seamless operational synergy established between the Strike Corps and the Pivot Corps. He emphasized that the adoption of this transformational logistics model has provided the Kharga Corps with unprecedented flexibility in its deployment and employment across varied terrains. Highlighting the professional rigor and the exceptionally high morale of all ranks, Lt Gen Pushkar noted that these advancements are pivotal in “sharpening Kharga” for the complexities of future battles.
This shift toward a more agile and decentralized logistics architecture underscores the Army’s commitment to modernization and its readiness to maintain a decisive edge in contemporary warfare.
