Panchari, August 13 –A crucial meeting regarding the preparations for the historic Baba Sankri Ji fair was held today at Baba Sankri Meer premises in Sankri Dev Sthan. The meeting was chaired by Tehsildar Panchari & Fair Officer Vipin Kumar (JKAS). DDC Panchari-Moungri Jasvir Singh, officers from various departments, President of Sankri Devta Vikas Samiti Prabhat Singh, and other committee members were present on the occasion.
The meeting included a detailed discussion on arrangements and programs for the fair. All departments were instructed to showcase their respective schemes and services during the fair to provide maximum information to the public. In this regard, the Fair Officer formed a special committee comprising the CDPO and Naib Tehsildar, which will inspect all the stalls set up at the fair to ensure that no vendor charges more than the fixed rates.Regarding parking arrangements, SHO Panchari Parshutam Sharma was shown various locations. It was decided that heavy trucks, buses, tankers, and tractor-trolleys will not be allowed to proceed beyond Meer Domail to ensure smooth traffic management.
President of Sankri Devta Vikas Samiti, Prabhat Singh, appealed to all devotees to visit Baba Sankri Ji’s Darbar on August 19, 20, and 21 to pay their respects and receive blessings.
