KATHUA, DECEMBER 20: Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Justice Arun Palli, officially inaugurated the newly constructed Court Complex at Hiranagar today in a ceremony attended by prominent judicial and administrative figures.
Accompanied by Justice Sanjeev Kumar and Justice Rajnesh Oswal (Administrative Judge for Kathua), the Chief Justice highlighted that the creation of such state-of-the-art infrastructure is a vital part of sustained efforts to bring the justice delivery system closer to the common man. He emphasized that while physical infrastructure facilitates easier access, the true success of the system relies on the commitment and cooperation of all stakeholders.
The event saw participation from key officials, including Registrar General MK Sharma, MLA Hiranagar Vijay Kumar Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma, and SSP Mohita Sharma, marking a significant milestone in the regional judicial landscape.During the proceedings, Justice Sanjeev Kumar expressed his satisfaction with the steady expansion of judicial facilities in the district, following the recent completion of the Kathua Court and residential complexes.
Justice Rajnesh Oswal described the dedication of the Hiranagar facility as a momentous occasion, urging the legal fraternity to maintain the complex as a collective responsibility. The Bar Association Hiranagar, led by President Advocate Naresh Gupta, expressed gratitude for the timely completion of the project while submitting a request for the future upgradation of the court to the level of Senior Civil Judge and the creation of an additional Sessions Court. The ceremony concluded with the presentation of souvenirs and saplings, followed by a vote of thanks from Munsiff Judicial Magistrate Lakshay Badyal, symbolizing a new chapter for legal services in the border district.
