JPDCL Announces Scheduled Power Shutdowns Across Jammu, Kathua, and Samba Districts

JAMMU, April 08, 2026— The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has issued a formal notification regarding temporary power interruptions across several districts to facilitate essential maintenance and system upgrades. Residents of Chadwal, Dinga Amb, Sallan, Pacca Kotha, and surrounding localities are advised that electricity supply will be suspended on April 09 from 9 am to 4 pm.

In Kathua, the O&M Circle has scheduled power cuts for Jatwal, Ghagwal, and adjoining regions on April 09, 11, and 13 between 8 am and 1 pm. Similarly, consumers in Samba-I, PHE City, and their neighboring areas should prepare for outages on April 09, 11, and 12, lasting from 8 am until 2 pm.In the Batote region, the Superintending Engineer of O&M Circle-III has detailed a shutdown schedule affecting Batna, Ghantwal, Kither, Chundi, Narsoo, Samroli, Sewna, Ladha, and Dhargadian on April 09 and 11 from 9 am to 2 pm.

Furthermore, a specific maintenance window has been set for April 10, impacting Sharda Mata, Thard, Bali, Urkhal, Pakhlai, Ossu, Kaira, Charat, and Bant during the same 9 am to 2 pm timeframe.

JPDCL officials have urged the public to take note of these timings to minimize inconvenience, emphasizing that these interruptions are critical for ensuring the long-term reliability and efficiency of the power distribution network.
