JPDCL Announces Scheduled Power Shutdowns Across Jammu and Districts; Check Dates and Timings

JAMMU, JANUARY 15, 2026: The Chief Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL Jammu, has notified several scheduled power outages across various districts to facilitate essential maintenance and technical upgrades.

Residents in Supwal, Rakh, and the Industrial areas will experience a brief interruption on January 16 from 9 am to 10 am. On the same day, and again on January 18, areas including Birpur and Ansal will face longer outages from 8 am to 2 pm.

Major shutdowns are also scheduled for January 18, affecting District Kishtwar (9 am to 1 pm), the Bari-Brahmana Industrial area, Greater Kailash, and Sainik Colony (10 am to 2 pm), and Rajouri sectors like Thanamandi and Manjakote (10 am to 2 pm).

Additionally, prolonged cuts are expected in Poonch areas including City Town and DC Office (10 am to 5 pm), as well as Dhar Road (11 am to 4 pm).The maintenance schedule extends into January 19, impacting a wide range of localities.

Supply to Chenani, Kud, Sudhmahadev, and Mantlai will be suspended from 10 am to 4 pm, while major residential and commercial hubs in Jammu, including Transport Nagar, Narwal, Channi Himmat, Sunjwan, and Bathindi, will witness power interruptions from 10 am to 2 pm.

The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has urged consumers to plan their activities accordingly and expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by these necessary technical works aimed at improving grid reliability.
