JPDCL Announces Scheduled Power Shutdown Across Jammu and Kathua Districts

JAMMU, Febuary 03,2026 – The Chief Engineer (Distribution) of JPDCL Jammu has issued a notification regarding scheduled power outages to facilitate essential maintenance works, affecting several key areas on February 4.

Residents of Transport Nagar, Narwal, Railway Colony, Malik Market, Upper Chowadi, Matto Colony, and parts of Channi Himmat, Bathindi, Sunjwan, and Boria should expect a supply disruption from 10 am to 2 pm. Specifically, Bathindi, Sunjwan, and Boria will experience brief outages between 10 am to 10:30 am and 1:30 pm to 2 pm on the same day.

Further disruptions are scheduled for February 5 and 7 from 9 am to 3 pm in Sarthal Kuntwara, Trigam, and surrounding locations. Additionally, the Superintending Engineer (Distribution) JPDCL, O&M Circle Kathua, has informed that power supply to Jogpur and its industrial areas will be affected on February 5 from 8 am to 1 pm.

Similarly, Gurah, Rajenderpura, Mawa, Rehian, and their adjoining localities will face power cuts on February 4 and 6 between 8 am and 1 pm. Consumers are advised to plan their activities accordingly as the department works to ensure the long-term reliability of the electrical infrastructure.
