Conducted under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme—a central initiative funded by the Ministry of MSME and implemented via the J&K Industries and Commerce Department—the programme trained 208 entrepreneurs.

A significant highlight of this phase was the participation of 197 women entrepreneurs, showcasing a powerful shift toward gender inclusivity within the Union Territory’s business ecosystem. The 30-hour structured training was meticulously designed to sharpen the managerial, financial, and strategic skills of both aspiring and existing business owners.

The curriculum, developed by industry experts, provided deep dives into business planning, digital marketing, financial literacy, and statutory compliance. Beyond classroom learning, the participants engaged in hands-on workshops, mentorship sessions, and interactive case studies aimed at building sustainable and competitive business models capable of scaling in the modern market.

To ensure practical application, the MDPs included sector-specific sessions featuring experts from District Industries Centres (DICs) and the Labour and Employment Department. These were complemented by field exposure visits to successful local enterprises, allowing trainees to witness operational best practices firsthand.

Monitored closely by Range and Reviewing Officers to ensure high training standards, the successful completion of these batches reaffirms JKEDI’s commitment to strengthening the local MSME sector and driving long-term economic growth across Jammu and Kashmir.
