JKBOSE 10th Result 2025: 85% Success Rate as Kashmir and Jammu Winter Zones Shine
SRINAGAR, Jan 14: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) officially released the Class 10 annual regular examination results this Wednesday, recording a robust overall pass percentage of 85.03%. Out of the more than 94,000 students who appeared for the exams—which commenced on November 3 across the Kashmir division and winter zones of Jammu—the vast majority successfully qualified.
This year’s academic cycle saw massive participation from across the region, including 68,804 students from Kashmir’s ten districts, over 25,000 from Jammu’s winter zones, and several hundred candidates from the Ladakh districts of Kargil and Leh.
To facilitate the massive exercise, the Board established 994 examination centers and implemented a strategic 15% syllabus relaxation. This academic cushion was introduced by the Director Academics after considering disruptions caused by an unpredictable climate, ranging from intense heat waves to torrential rains and floods.
Under this special provision, students were required to attempt only 85% of the total marks, which was then scaled to represent 100% of the score. Officials noted that this flexibility played a crucial role in supporting student performance following a delayed start to the academic session.
