J&K Security Forces on High Alert Following Intelligence Warnings of Potential IED Attacks

JAMMU, March 26, 2026 (Republic TV)— Security agencies across Jammu and Kashmir have been placed on a state of high alert following specific intelligence intercepts suggesting that terror groups are planning major strikes using Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).

The warning, issued by Union Government intelligence agencies and shared with all ground-level forces, indicates a high risk of targeted attacks on security convoys and patrols.

According to official sources, the intelligence points to a tactical pattern similar to previous ambushes, where an initial IED blast is often followed by indiscriminate firing intended to maximize casualties. In response to these credible threats, the administration has issued a stringent advisory to all personnel to minimize non-essential movement and strictly avoid the use of non-bulletproof vehicles in sensitive areas.

Forces have been directed to conduct necessary patrols and travel exclusively in armored vehicles to mitigate the impact of potential blasts. While specific operational countermeasures remain classified for security reasons, high-ranking officials confirmed that “utmost seriousness” is being applied to every lead.

Enhanced surveillance and preemptive measures are currently being executed across the region to avert any tragedy and maintain stability during this period of heightened risk. (Republic TV)
