J&K Police flag off Bharat Darshan tour for Kishtwar students

Jammu, January 28, 2026 – Promoting national integration and cultural awareness, the Zonal Police Headquarters (ZPHQ) Jammu officially flagged off the sixth batch of the Bharat Darshan Tour for students from the Kishtwar district. This initiative, part of the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Civic Action Programme, aims to provide youth with holistic development and a deeper understanding of India’s diverse heritage.

Similar educational tours for students from four additional districts are scheduled to follow in the coming days.The current group consists of 90 participants, including students and caretakers, who departed from Saraswati Dham at the Rail Head Complex in Jammu. The itinerary features major destinations like Delhi and Kolkata, where students will explore historic landmarks and cultural institutions.

During the flag-off ceremony, Shamsher Hussain, Staff Officer to IGP Jammu, joined by Narinder Singh and the ZPHQ team, briefed the students on safety protocols and the broader mission of empowering youth through experiential learning.

Addressing the participants, Shamsher Hussain highlighted that the tour is more than a sightseeing trip; it is a vital bridge connecting young minds to the country’s history and values.

He encouraged the students to act as cultural ambassadors for Jammu and Kashmir, spreading messages of peace and harmony while gaining the confidence to become responsible citizens.

By investing in these community-centric programs, the Jammu and Kashmir Police continue to strengthen their bond with the public and guide the next generation toward a more informed and unified future.
