J&K Minister Javed Ahmed Rana Discusses Critical Development and Tribal Welfare with Legislators

JAMMU, February 02, 2026: Several prominent legislators, including Qaiser Jamshed Lone, Ghulam Mohiuddin, Hasnain Masoodi, Peerzada Feroz Ahmad, R. S. Pathania, and Showkat Ganai, called on the Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, at the Civil Secretariat today.

The meeting focused on a wide-ranging developmental agenda, with a specific emphasis on augmenting water supply schemes and ensuring the timely execution of flood protection works across Jammu and Kashmir.

Deliberations also covered critical issues related to forest management and the welfare of tribal communities, highlighting the multifaceted approach required for regional progress.

During the interaction, Minister Javed Ahmed Rana appreciated the constructive feedback provided by the legislators and stressed the importance of their active oversight within their respective constituencies.

He noted that the cooperation and supervision of public representatives are essential for the effective implementation of government welfare measures and infrastructure projects.
