J&K Lok Bhavan Marks Dadra and Nagar Haveli & Daman and Diu UT Foundation Day

JAMMU, January 26, 2026 – Jammu Kashmir Lok Bhavan today hosted a special celebration to commemorate the Union Territory Day of Dadra and Nagar Haveli & Daman and Diu.

The event highlighted the significance of January 26, 2020, the historic date when these regions were officially merged to form a single, unified Union Territory.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha extended his heartiest greetings and best wishes to the residents of Dadra and Nagar Haveli & Daman and Diu, expressing his hope for the region’s continued advancement and success within the national framework.

In a message marking the occasion, Manoj Sinha prayed for the Union Territory to achieve new milestones of progress and development in the coming years. He emphasized his wish for peace and prosperity to touch the lives of every citizen in the merged territory.

The celebration at Lok Bhavan served as a bridge of cultural and administrative solidarity between Jammu and Kashmir and its fellow Union Territory, honoring the structural evolution of the Indian Republic on its 77th anniversary.
