PULWAMA, Jan 3: The Committee on Estimates of the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly, led by MLA Habba Kadal, Shamima Firdous, conducted an extensive field visit to several high-priority infrastructure and industrial sites across Pulwama district today.
Accompanied by MLA Rajpora, Ghulam Mohiuddin Mir, the committee inspected project sites in Sampora, Pampore, and the Lasipora Industrial Estate to evaluate the physical progress of ongoing works and the quality of existing facilities. The high-level delegation included Director Industries and Commerce, Khalid Majeed, along with other senior technical officers, ensuring a comprehensive assessment of the region’s industrial trajectory.
During the inspection at Industrial Estate Lasipora, the committee held a detailed interaction with local unit holders to understand the operational challenges on the ground.
Industrialists raised critical concerns regarding the consistency of power supply, the need for enhanced road connectivity, and the expansion of essential utility services. Shamima Firdous assured the stakeholders that the committee would formally present these grievances to the relevant government departments to ensure a time-bound resolution.
The visit underscores the legislative body’s commitment to fostering a robust industrial ecosystem in Pulwama, which serves as a vital economic hub for the Union Territory.
