Srinagar, February 10, 2026 — In a move aimed at streamlining administrative efficiency, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir today ordered the immediate transfer and posting of two IAS officers.
According to the official order (No. 180-JK(GAD) of 2026) issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), Shubhankar Pratyush Pathak, IAS (AGMUT: 2022), who was serving as the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Uri, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary in the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat.
In a corresponding appointment, Prince Kumar, IAS (AGMUT: 2023), who previously held the position of Sub-Divisional Magistrate in Kokernag, will now take over as the new SDM of Uri, replacing Pathak. The order, issued by the authority of the Lieutenant Governor, was signed by M. Raju, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government.
