J&K DGP Nalin Prabhat Reviews Security at Major Jammu Temples; Focuses on Layered Defense and Tech-Integration
Jammu January 01, 2026:- Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat, accompanied by Inspector General of Police (Jammu Zone) Bhim Sen Tuti and IGP CRPF (Jammu Sector) R. Gopala Krishna Rao, conducted an extensive security audit of prominent religious and heritage landmarks in Jammu today.
The high-level review covered the historic Raghunath Mandir, the iconic Bahu Fort, and the Tirupati Balaji Mandir. The primary objective of the visit was to assess the ground-level preparedness of security forces and ensure a robust safety grid for the thousands of devotees and tourists who frequent these sites.
During the assessment, the top brass emphasized the implementation of a multi-layered security strategy, enhanced crowd management protocols, and the integration of advanced technology to sharpen situational awareness.
The officers held direct interactions with on-ground personnel from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF, and ITBP, issuing specific directives to eliminate vulnerabilities and ensure seamless inter-agency coordination.
A key priority highlighted was the readiness for contingency scenarios and the ability to execute a rapid response to any emergent threats.The joint review, which included senior officials like DIG Shiv Kumar Sharma and SSP Jammu Joginder Singh, underscores a proactive approach to regional security.
By focusing on periodic assessments and plugging operational gaps, the security agencies aim to maintain high public confidence and a secure environment. The DGP reaffirmed the collective commitment of all stakeholders to uphold peace in the region through heightened vigilance and disciplined execution of security duties at sensitive installations.
