J&K DGP Nalin Prabhat Conducts High-Level Security and Counter-Terrorism Review in Pulwama

PULWAMA, March 07: The Director General of Police (DGP) for Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat-IPS, chaired a comprehensive security review meeting today at the District Police Office Pulwama to evaluate the region’s security landscape and counter-terrorism initiatives.

Accompanied by top officials, including Special DG Coordination S. J. M. Gillani-IPS, IGP Kashmir Zone V. K. Birdi-IPS, and DIG South Kashmir Range Javid Iqbal Matoo-IPS, the DGP assessed the progress of both kinetic and non-kinetic counter-terror (CT) operations.

The session, which included SSP Pulwama Tanushree-IPS and other supervisory officers, focused on overall law and order management and the general security preparedness of the district.

During the meeting, DGP Nalin Prabhat emphasized the critical need for maintaining sustained pressure on anti-national elements and directed officers to ensure strict legal action against those involved in unlawful activities.

He underscored the importance of proactive policing, enhanced intelligence gathering, and seamless coordination among field units to effectively address emerging security challenges.

While commending the professionalism and dedication of the personnel deployed in Pulwama, the DGP urged all ranks to remain vigilant and mission-oriented to safeguard public safety and ensure lasting stability in the area.
