J&K Deputy CM Surinder Choudhary Accelerates Nowshera Development: Spot Inspections and Public Grievance Redressal Drive
RAJOURI, March 01, 2026 — In a major push toward grassroots development and administrative accountability, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary conducted an extensive daylong tour of the Nowshera Sub Division to monitor ongoing infrastructure projects and engage directly with local residents.
During his visit to Bajora, Bajabain, Sunderbani, Hanjana, and Dharat, the Deputy CM held a series of public interaction meetings where citizens voiced critical concerns regarding road connectivity, drinking water supply, electricity, and healthcare facilities.
Assuring the public of prompt action, the Deputy Chief Minister issued immediate on-the-spot directives to departmental officers, emphasizing that effective inter-departmental coordination is essential to resolve public grievances within a strict timeframe.
The high-level tour included rigorous inspections of key physical assets, including the ongoing construction of the Dak Bungalow at Nowshera and the nearly completed Conference Hall at Lamberi.
While reviewing these projects, the Deputy CM instructed executing agencies to maintain high-quality standards and expedite the remaining works to ensure these facilities are operational for public and administrative use at the earliest.
Furthermore, a visit to the Mother and Child Hospital (MCH) Lamberi allowed the Deputy CM to assess healthcare infrastructure, where he stressed the urgent need to strengthen medical services for the local population.
Accompanied by senior officials, including ADDC Rajouri and Chief Engineer PWD, the Deputy Chief Minister’s visit reaffirms the government’s commitment to accelerating development in the border regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
