JAMMU, JANUARY 05, 2026 – Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo today detailed the transformative impact of the PRAGATI (Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation) platform in accelerating major developmental initiatives across Jammu & Kashmir, noting that the Union Territory is currently overseeing projects worth a staggering ₹4.12 lakh crore.
Highlighting the platform’s efficiency in breaking decades-long deadlocks, the Chief Secretary revealed that 57 out of 59 identified inter-departmental issues have been successfully resolved, allowing stalled “big-ticket” projects like the Udhampur–Srinagar–Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) to finally gain momentum after years of delay.
Under this high-level monitoring mechanism, which involves direct oversight by the Prime Minister’s Office, J&K has already seen the completion of six high-impact projects valued at ₹53,000 crore, including AIIMS Jammu and the Kishanganga Hydroelectric Project. Currently, 15 critical projects remain under direct PRAGATI review, including the Delhi–Amritsar–Katra Expressway and AIIMS Awantipora, as the administration remains committed to leveraging technology-driven governance to ensure all infrastructure and energy initiatives are completed within their approved deadlines.
