J&K BJP Expresses Profound Grief Over Martyrdom of 10 Army Personnel in Doda Accident
JAMMU, January 22, 2026 — The Jammu & Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has expressed deep anguish and heartfelt sorrow over the tragic road accident in Doda district that claimed the lives of 10 brave Indian Army soldiers.
In an official press release, the party leadership extended their condolences to the families of the martyrs and prayed for the swift recovery of the 11 personnel injured when their vehicle plunged into a deep gorge on the Bhaderwah-Chamba road.
J&K BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma paid rich tributes to the fallen soldiers, stating that the nation will forever remember their exemplary courage, dedication, and supreme sacrifice. “The outstanding service of our soldiers remains a matter of great pride and reverence for every citizen,” Sharma remarked while expressing his solidarity with the bereaved families.
Leader of Opposition in the J&K Legislative Assembly, Sunil Sharma, also shared his grief, noting that the loss is beyond words and that the entire country stands united with the families of the bravehearts in this moment of profound sorrow.Echoing these sentiments, J&K BJP General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul emphasized that the selfless service of the martyrs would remain permanently etched in the nation’s memory.
He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to supporting the grieving families and called for the highest quality of medical care for the injured soldiers currently undergoing treatment. The accident, which involved a Casspir MRAP vehicle, has prompted widespread condolences across the political spectrum as the region mourns the loss of its protectors.
