NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 24, 2025: Jammu & Kashmir Bank has achieved a major national milestone by winning the prestigious ‘Best MSME Bank – Winner’ title at the MSME Banking Excellence Awards 2025 held in the national capital. In addition to the top honor in the MSME sector, the bank also secured the Runner-Up position in the ‘CSR Initiative & Business Responsibility’ category, highlighting its commitment to sustainable growth and community development.
The awards were presented by Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal to J&K Bank’s Chief General Manager (Business Development) Sunit Kumar and GM Khursheed Muzaffar. This recognition, adjudicated by a high-profile jury chaired by former Supreme Court Judge Justice Deepak Verma, underscores the bank’s exemplary performance in promoting small and medium enterprises and its adherence to best practices in corporate social responsibility.
MD & CEO Amitava Chatterjee expressed deep honor at the recognition, attributing the success to the dedicated efforts of the bank’s MSME and CSR teams. He emphasized that MSME financing remains a strategic priority for J&K Bank, aligning with national development goals. A key highlight of this commitment is the bank’s exclusive implementation of the UT Government’s flagship “Mission YUVA” program, which targets the creation of 1.37 lakh enterprises and 4.25 lakh jobs over the next five years.
Chatterjee reaffirmed the bank’s mission to support entrepreneurs through digital interventions and tailored financial solutions while ensuring that the bank’s expansion across the country translates into meaningful social impact in areas like healthcare, education, and skill development.
