J&K Armed Police Promotes 866 Constables to Selection Grade Rank
JAMMU, Jan 3, 2026: In a major administrative move to boost morale and reward merit, the Armed Police Headquarters has officially issued promotion orders for 866 Constables of the Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police.
These personnel have been elevated to the rank of Selection Grade Constable (SGCT) following a meticulous evaluation process.
In addition to these promotions, 36 Constables were granted in-situ upgradations in strict adherence to established service rules. The final list was approved after a comprehensive review of service records by the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC), ensuring that the process remained transparent and based on professional performance.
ADG Armed, Anand Jain (IPS), extended his heartfelt congratulations to the newly promoted officials and their families. He emphasized that these promotions are a recognition of their hard work and commitment to public safety.
The ADG expressed strong confidence that the enhanced rank would inspire the personnel to discharge their duties with even greater professionalism, integrity, and dedication.
