REASI, March 17, 2026 — Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has issued a stern ultimatum to any elements attempting to derail the socio-economic progress of Jammu & Kashmir, asserting that those disrupting normal life or business activities will face the full force of the law.
Speaking at the STC Talwara in Reasi district, the Lieutenant Governor emphasized that the administration will not tolerate any interference with the Union Territory’s markets, trade, or the daily security of its citizens.
He made it clear that maintaining a stable and peaceful environment is the government’s highest priority, and any individual or group found inciting disturbances will be held strictly accountable to ensure that the region’s growth trajectory remains uninterrupted.
The high-stakes warning was delivered during the 17th passing out parade, which celebrated the formal induction of 430 newly trained constables into the Jammu & Kashmir Police.
LG Sinha praised the police force as the frontline guardians of public interest and urged the new recruits to uphold the values of dedication and integrity in their service to the people.
By bolstering the local security apparatus with this fresh contingent of 430 personnel, the government aims to reinforce a secure atmosphere that is vital for the flourishing of tourism and local industry.
