Javed Rana Inspects Border Development Projects in Mendhar and Mankote

MENDHAR, JANUARY 28, 2026 – Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment, and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, conducted an extensive tour of border villages in the Mendhar Sub Division and Mankote area today to review ongoing development projects.

During the visit, the Minister engaged directly with local residents in areas including Upper Mankote, Basni, Sakrote, Choi, Tain, Changri, Dharana, and Gohlad. These interactions focused on assessing the ground-level impact of government schemes and addressing the specific challenges faced by communities living along the border belt.

The Minister held on-the-spot public grievance meetings where residents raised concerns regarding drinking water access, electricity supply, road connectivity, and the performance of local health and educational facilities.

Assuring the public of a priority response, Javed Ahmed Rana emphasized that providing high-quality public services and improved basic amenities to far-flung regions is a top government commitment.

He instructed the Sub Divisional Administration and departments such as PHE, PWD, Health, and Education to remain proactive in resolving these issues to ensure that the benefits of inclusive development reach the most remote locations.In addition to public consultations, the Minister scrutinized the status of various infrastructure projects, stressing that transparency, accountability, and strict timelines are essential given the strategic importance of the border region.

Accompanied by senior officials, including the SDM Mendhar and Tehsildars, he received sector-wise briefings on current progress. The visit concluded with a directive to all concerned departments to expedite pending works, ensuring a time-bound delivery of essential services to the people of Mendhar and Mankote.
