JAMMU, FEBRUARY 07, 2026: The Zonal Police Headquarters (ZPHQ) Jammu has successfully wrapped up the second batch of its intensive one-week refresher training programme, designed for personnel transitioning from various specialized wings into the Jammu Zone.
Held at the ZPHQ Conference Hall, the initiative aimed to synchronize the skills of 42 officers—ranging up to the rank of Inspector—with the specific operational, legal, and technological requirements of the region. The curriculum prioritized professional efficiency and procedural uniformity, ensuring that personnel are fully equipped for immediate deployment in both field operations and administrative roles.
The training modules covered a sophisticated array of contemporary policing subjects, including an in-depth study of new criminal laws, forensic processes, and the management of CCTNS (Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems).
Specialized sessions also focused on cybercrime investigation, digital policing tools, and updated counter-terrorism strategies. By utilizing interactive sessions and real-time problem-solving discussions led by experienced subject matter experts, the programme bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical field application.
In his concluding address, Bhim Sen Tuti, IPS, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone, joined by other senior officers including DIG Shiv Kumar Sharma, emphasized the critical need for discipline and strict adherence to established SOPs. The IGP exhorted the trainees to translate their newly acquired technical proficiency into proactive public service and enhanced security across the Jammu Zone.
The programme was meticulously coordinated by a dedicated committee of officers from ZPHQ, ensuring that the transition of personnel into the zone remains seamless and operationally sound.
