Jammu 06 September :- In Morning Traffic Update Traffic Update as of 0900 hrs, September 6, 2025 The Jammu -Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) continues to be closed for all vehicular movement.The closure is due to a road blockage between Jakheni and Bali Nallah. Authorities have strictly stated that no vehicles will be permitted to travel from Nagrota (Jammu) towards Chenani, Patnitop, Doda, Ramban, Banihal, or Srinagar, and vice versa. Commuters from Katra, Reasi, and Udhampur town are advised to carry a photo ID card to facilitate smooth movement through permitted area.

Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) are currently plying on the Mughal Road and the Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari (SSG) road, though these routes remain subject to strict weather and timing restrictions.
Authorities have reiterated their advisory, urging the public not to undertake any journey on the NH-44 until the restoration work is officially completed and to disregard any rumors.
Commuters are directed to check the real-time status of all roads exclusively through the official Traffic Police Twitter handle, Facebook page, or by contacting the Traffic Control Units (TCUs).
