Jammu School Winter Vacation Extended Till January 14 Due to Inclement Weather
JAMMU, Jan 11 (2026) — The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has officially announced an extension of the winter vacations for all schools located in the Summer Zone of the Jammu division.
According to an official order issued by Director School Education Jammu, Naseem Javaid Chowdhary, the decision was made in response to the prevailing inclement weather conditions affecting the region.

The vacations, which were previously scheduled under an earlier directive from December 2025, will now continue through January 14, 2026.This extension applies to all government and recognized private educational institutions within the Summer Zone.
The order, designated as 16-DSEJ of 2026, serves as a continuation of the original winter break schedule to ensure the safety and well-being of students during the current cold spell.
Administrative officials, including Divisional and Deputy Commissioners across the Jammu Division, have been notified to ensure the strict implementation of this directive across their respective jurisdictions.
