Jammu Rural Police Volleyball Tournament Concludes at HSS Domana; Team Pallanwala Emerges Victorious

JAMMU, March 26, 2026 — Under the comprehensive Civic Action Programme 2025–26, the Jammu (Rural) Police successfully organized a high-spirited volleyball tournament that concluded today at Higher Secondary School, Domana.

The sporting event featured eight competitive teams from across the Jammu district, drawing a significant crowd of local sports enthusiasts and residents. The final match saw a thrilling showdown between Team Pallanwala and Team Domana, with the former clinching the championship title after a hard-fought contest.

Following the match, the winners and runners-up were honored with cash prizes, trophies, and premium sports accessories during a formal closing ceremony.

The event was graced by Brijesh Sharma (JKPS), Superintendent of Police (SP) Rural Jammu, who served as the Chief Guest alongside senior officers including the SDPO and SHOs of Domana and Gharota. Prominent local figures, including Mahant Rohit Shastri and former local representatives, also attended to show their support for the initiative.

In his address, SP Brijesh Sharma emphasized that the Jammu & Kashmir Police is deeply committed to using sports as a tool for youth engagement, aiming to steer the younger generation away from drug abuse and other social challenges.

The local community and youth participants highly praised the police department’s efforts in fostering a healthy, drug-free culture through such constructive grassroots initiatives.
