Jammu (Rural) Police Arrest Drug Peddler with 14 Grams of Chitta-Like Substance in Jourian.

Jammu (Rural) Police achieved a significant breakthrough by apprehending a drug peddler during routine Nakka checking at Maniwala Road, Jourian. During the checking, police intercepted an individual found in possession of a Chitta-like narcotic substance weighing approximately 14 grams.

During initial questioning, the accused identified as Abhi Sharma, son of Gharu Ram, a resident of Chaprial, Khour, currently residing at Kodewala, Tehsil Akhnoor.

Following the due legal procedure, a case has been registered against the accused under FIR No. 220/2025, Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act in PS Akhnoor. The accused has been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway to trace the source of the contraband and identify any possible links to the drug network.
