JAMMU, February 11, 2026 — The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns across several districts to facilitate essential maintenance and system upgrades. According to the Chief Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL Jammu, residents in Marchoal, Hathal, Devak, Makol, and MES Sunderbani should prepare for a temporary disruption on February 13 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Additionally, major areas including Budhal, Kotranka, Badhal, Samote, Kewal, and Kandi will face a four-hour outage on February 12 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, affecting both residential and local commercial activities.
Further outages are scheduled for the Jammu outskirts and vital installations. On February 12, power supply to Sheetli, portions of Sidhra, Bamyal, MES Nagrota, and the PHE Sheetli lifting station will be suspended from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Meanwhile, the Superintending Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL O&M Circle Kathua, has notified that the areas of Sandhi and Purmandal will experience a prolonged shutdown on the same day, February 12, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Residents and industrial units in the affected zones are advised to plan their daily schedules accordingly to minimize inconvenience.
