Jammu Power Shutdown Alert: JPDCL Announces Scheduled Outages Across Kishtwar, Akhnoor, and Industrial Sectors
JAMMU, J&K — February 24, 2026The Chief Engineer (Distribution) of JPDCL, Jammu, has issued a formal notification regarding scheduled power shutdowns affecting several districts and industrial zones over the coming days.
Residents in Chatroo, Paddar, Sarthal, Nagseni, and parts of Kishtwar should prepare for an outage on February 25 from 11 am to 2 pm. On the same day, Kamsar, Haveli, MES Kamsar, and Banpat will face a disruption from 9 am to 1 pm, while the Ghatti and SIDCO Industrial areas will experience brief morning and evening cuts from 8 am to 9 am and 5 pm to 6 pm.
Additionally, a significant shutdown is planned for Akhnoor, Kalakote, Bhalwal, Thather, Nardni, and Jwala on February 25, lasting from 8 am to 2 pm.The maintenance schedule extends into the latter half of the week, with Jhajjarkotli, Jindrah, Phalata, Salal, Panthal, and SMVDU slated for a power cut on February 26 between 8 am and 2 pm.
Industrial operations and residential areas in Jakh, Jogpur, Sarore, and Patli will also see affected supplies on February 27 from 8 am to 2 pm. These temporary interruptions are necessary for essential maintenance and distribution upgrades.
JPDCL advises consumers in the affected areas to plan their activities accordingly to minimize inconvenience during these specified hours.
