Jammu Police Reunited Missing Woman with Family; Successful Search by Nowabad Station

JAMMU, Feb 19: Demonstrating a swift and empathetic approach to public safety, the Nowabad Police Station successfully traced a missing woman and reunited her with her family on February 18.

The case began on February 13, when a local resident filed a formal complaint regarding his wife’s disappearance, leading to the registration of a missing person report under DDR No. 11. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, a specialized search team was immediately formed under the leadership of SHO Nowabad, Inspector Vikas Hans, supported by PSI Sudhir Parihar and L/PSI Rucheata Shan.

The investigative team employed a dual-track strategy, combining modern technical assistance with traditional ground-level human intelligence to track the woman’s whereabouts.

After five days of intensive searching and sustained efforts, the team successfully located her, ensuring her safe return home and the subsequent closure of the official missing report.

This successful outcome highlights the Jammu Police’s ongoing commitment to prioritizing missing person cases and maintaining a professional, rapid-response framework to assist families in distress.
